By booking an expedition or using this site, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully — particularly the Assumption of Risk section, which matters for your safety and your rights.
Section 01
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot on an expedition; the remaining balance is due 30 days before departure. Spots are limited and confirmed on a first-paid basis.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure may be credited toward a future trip, less the deposit. Cancellations inside 30 days are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Section 02
You’re responsible for arriving with the fitness level and gear listed for your expedition. Our guides can advise, but they can’t substitute for your own training and preparation.
Important — Please Read Carefully
Backcountry travel — hiking, paddling, climbing, and winter camping — involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, exposure, water hazards, wildlife encounters, remote medical emergencies, and unpredictable weather. These risks cannot be eliminated, no matter how experienced the guide.
By joining a Based Adventures expedition, you voluntarily accept these risks and release Based Adventures, its guides, and its partners from liability for injury, loss, or death arising from ordinary risks of backcountry travel, to the fullest extent permitted by law. A signed waiver is required before departure for every expedition.
Section 03
This brotherhood is built on respect. Harassment, discrimination, or endangering the group will result in removal from a trip without refund, at the guide’s discretion.
